Our tour begins from Williams, AZ to Seligman – the Birthplace of Historic Route 66, to the largest dry caverns in the US, through the homeland of the Havasupi Indians, with engaging commentary, expert guides, and a comfortable ride with information you will only hear on this tour! 100% of your tour will be on Route 66 with pickup locations in Williams or Flagstaff!

What This Tour Includes

The Full History of Rt 66 and the small towns affected by the Interstate bypass. How they survived and what they are doing now.

Why this inspired the making of the Disney movie Cars. You will be visiting the fictional town of Radiator Springs, otherwise known as Seligman and Peach Springs.

You will learn about and visit the childhood home of Frank Shankwitz the founder of The-Make-A-Wish foundation at one of our stops along Rt 66.

You will learn about the Havasupai Indian Tribe still living at the bottom of Grand Canyon just off Rt 66, we’ll show you where.

Remember the Berma Shave signs posted all along Rt 66 back in the 1950’s ? Well thanks to the Seligman Chamber, there back and we enjoy them as they were meant to be enjoyed from the 50’s.

An extended stop at the Sno-Cap for refreshments and ice cream. Visit Angel’s barber shop. Angel was mostly responsible for the undertaking of Route 66 becoming an historical landmark across the U.S.A. and had Specifically Seligman named as the Birth Place of Historic Rt 66.

We will stand on the longest stretch of the “origional Rt 66” in AZ still intact to give you an understanding of what it was really like to travel what was the only roadway east to west.

We will learn fun historical information about the aviation history of Grand Canyon and much more while we travel parallel to the Canyon.

And finally on Route 66 is the largest dry Caverns in the U.S. and we will explore them 200 ft below ground level with lunch served at the bottom.
